About
In my early twenties, I was completely fascinated by photography. I had my own darkroom, spent countless hours experimenting with film, and even imagined becoming a professional photographer. But life moved on, responsibilities grew, and that dream quietly slipped into the background.
When I retired in 2018, I suddenly had time again and with it came a feeling of restlessness. I wanted something meaningful, something exciting, something that felt like me. During a trip to Europe, I bought another camera, and in just two weeks of taking photos, that old spark came roaring back. It felt like rediscovering a part of myself I had forgotten.
With the freedom to explore my passion, I dove into learning taking online courses, joining workshops, and challenging myself with new techniques. Each step pushed my creativity further and reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Today, every photograph I create feels like a continuation of the journey I began as a young man in my darkroom. The excitement is still there. The passion is still there. And I’m grateful every day that I found my way back to it. It’s never too late.
